The Chiricahua Apache National Foundation

The Chiricahua Apache National Foundation will be creating a mural in downtown Silver City that will increase the visibility of their rich cultural history. The mural will use paint and colorful tiles. The theme and imagery of the mural will significantly add to the Chiricahua Apache sense of place, pride, and delight through the arts. The mural will be both a historic piece and feature imagery of contemporary Chiricahua Apache, illustrating that the Nde people continue to live here and welcome those who want to return to their ancestral homeland. Everyone in our community will benefit from this mural as it will represent great healing for all and for a brighter future and sense of community.
