Silco Theater

The Silco Theater Activation project will help transform the Silco into a community event space in addition to serving as a movie theater showing first run movies and international films through the private film club. Requested funds would be used towards completing the Silco Theater restoration with professional lighting, a sound system and improvements to the seating and concession, making this wonderful and well-loved building into a true community asset that can not only show movies, but host musical events, lectures, dinner nights and more. We know based on the changes in the movie industry that the Silco needs to be an event space to be viable into the future. The items we are requesting are not easily funded through other sources and everything can be purchased and installed within a year.
